FOM isn't as important as that A rating for sure. I have a lower FOM than yours, 1650 or some shit? and the image is the clearest I've ever seen. Not one spot, super crisp images. At high gain I do have more noise, but I almost never operate at full gain anyway. If you have an illuminator, which you need to take full advantage of these, it doesn't matter.
EuroOptic is dealer associated with the 'Hide and they've never done me wrong, however it's not where I bought mine. I was promised a much higher FOM unit so I went with a dealer on here, he didn't have 'em in stock he waited until I paid for it and then ordered it from a place I probably wouldn't have done business with in the first place. I got all kinds of excuses and delays and still didn't get the unit I was promised. I said fuck it, I was done dealing with them at that point.
But I turned Euro down when they called me back with a higher FOM unit than I have now in order to deal with this other guy. I won't mention him because he has a good following here and is a good guy, but my advice is to buy it direct from whoever has it on hand.
Still definitely the best deal going for sure.
