I'm considering getting a tight neck chamber 6XC that will be reamed with a 0.272" neck. Does this mean that from here I can order a 0.270" bushing and be set? I know I'll have to turn my cases so that I'm getting neck thickness of ((0.272-.243)/2)=0.0135".
The next question is regarding the die itself. If I get a Neck Bushing die, it appears to come with an expander ball and decapper. If the brass is being drawn back over an expander ball, what difference does the neck bushing matter? Or would I be better off running the brass through the die once with no bushing to expand the neck, then remove the expander assembly and install the bushing and run it through again?
