I have a Stevens 200 that I am slowly upgrading. Right now it is stock. I have a Tactical Works Stock Pac on it and a Harris bipod should be here today. The bolt lift is pretty hard but I can tell it is getting slightly better. Have any of you bought and used one of these>......http://www.sharpshootersupply.com
Or, do you have any other options that I should look into for the Stevens 200?

Re: Extended Bolt Knob

Ordered mine from tactical works. Installed easy no issues with fit or function. As a plus Lisa is great at getting the questions you may have answered prior to ordering...

Re: Extended Bolt Knob

have you thought of just getting a Savage Varmint bolt handle? put one on my 11FCNS and was a big improvement that was easily installed and cheap. i can't tell in your pic if it already has one.

Re: Extended Bolt Knob

i had one of them and it was one that was made for the old flat top receivers. they have them for the new round top now, but the flat top ones sucked ass. i sent it back to tactical works cause it didnt. id try a handle again if it were for the round top, but id be ready to send it back. it rubbed against the receiver when i cycled the bolt and it just sucked. made the action feel crappy

My bolt handle is just a stock handle that came with the Stevens. I just want something a little longer as i have heard that it will reduce the stiffness of the bolt lift. Do you have any pics?

Re: Extended Bolt Knob

AZ Precision....Like Axeman said Oct. 28 - Nov 2 - $65.00 Includes installation, Bolt knob of choice and I believe return shipping for that price. Send them the bolt and about 1 week or less turnaround.

Your not gonna find a better deal than that.

You can send either your whole bolt, or just the handle.

I cut off your factory knob, mill a flat shelf, and install one of my 10-32 studs like the Remingtons get.

I install the stud swept back at an angle like the Remingtons. This improves the feel and looks of the Savage bolt a lot.

Any of my knob designs can be put on a Savage handle. </div></div>

Re: Extended Bolt Knob

I had the SSS bolt handle for the round tops and liked it alot. I've also installed the Stockade bolt handle, and now a custom handle I had mscott from here on the hide make me. All three were excellent. Pick your poisen between the three and they will all serve you well.

Good luck,
Merritt
