Recently came across this site and have been enjoying reading all the posts.

I have a Savage 10fcp with an HS Precision stock that I purchased a bit ago and am looking to purchase an extended mag, something that will hold up to 10 rounds. Anyone have any recommendations/know where to purchase?

As you know, Savage comes with a detachable mag. Were you able to just purchase a larger mag or did you have to replace the bottom metal as well?

Thanks,
John

I guess that wasn't clear enough, they dont sell a larger mag to "drop in", if you want a larger mag, you must replace the bottom metal and use the mags that come with it.

Sharp Shooter Supply does offer an extended magazine that fits onto the factory magazine. Problem is that their customer service is probably the worst in the business and if you order one you probably won't get it for about a year. Go with CDI. He's very easy to get a hold of and he knows his stuff and his Bottom metal accepts AICS mags which is great.

My experience, as well. I finally gave up trying to get a couple of them for my FCP-K. I wish there was enough of a margin in it for someone else to pick it up and start making them.

If I need extended capacity mags on my new build (also a Savage, hope to start soon

) I will go with CDI.
