Extra prep necking down 6.5 creedmoor to 6?

Does necking down from 6.5 to 6 result any additional brass prep? Turning necks, trimming, etc.?

No, but I recommend using a 6 expander mandrel die to push out any neck shoulder inconsistencies

Probably not as your turning neck into shoulder so donuts from thickness variation is not an issue.

I had to turn the necks on Lapua brass to provide adequate neck clearance. The neck walls will thicken and prior to turning load a dummy round to check neck clearance.
