Extreme long range rifle

I have been reading every post I could find about the cheytac rounds, but i cant find a comparison between the .375 and the 408 showing real numbers and pros and cons.
Does anyone have any info?
How is the M200 compared to the EDM, and the THOR XM408 ASA?
I know the EDM is cheaper, but what about quality and accuracy?
Has anyone tried the DTA HTR in any of these calibers?
How is it compared to the Cheytac system?
Is there another round that reaches further and is more accurate?

From my understanding Cheytac company is no more so you might take the M200 out of the equation.

I wouldnt say the Cheytac system is more accurate than any other custom rifle from GAP, or APA. What made the Cheytac system so great was the computer program that came with the rifle. Their data was doplar tested and very accurate. As noted in long range shooting its more in your data and the shooter than just the gun.

The .375 has a somewhat higher BC with a lighter bullet from what I've seen, and will therefore probably be a little easier to shoot at distance. The 408 is of course heavier, and will carry more energy until you're at extreme distances.

Until Berger fixes the structural integrity issue with those bullets I would caution against this advice. Burning all that powder only to get 338 RUM velocities would be an awful waste.

I didnt know that Berger was having problems with the 300gr bullet? Then I wouldnt do the Sniptac then. Can someone link a thread so I can read about this?

The .375CT is king of the hill primarily because it stays supersonic 400-600 yards longer than the .408CT and therefore can outshoot it. Dig around the Hide - there is much data to back that up.

As for platforms, the M200 is pretty much dead but the EDM Windrunner is still plenty available as are any number of custom riles available built on a variety of actions and stocks. The cartridge has caught on and is here to stay.

If you go the Windrunner route, as I did, spend the extra money to get the barrel shroud/bipod assembly either from EDM or from RND. It makes it a significantly more stable platform. Personally, I'm looking forward to the DTA HTI, but will have to wait to be living stateside again.

As dogtown mentioned already the 375/408 beats the 408CT all day and 7 times on Sunday lol.

Now onto the individual rifle systems that you mentioned...Can you advise us on what your countries restrictions are on importing such as caliber restriction, OAL restrictions, etc etc.

Norway doesn't have that many restrictions when it comes to calibers, but the .50 bmg is prohibited.

Does that restriction count for a system that can be converted to 50bmg such as the DTA system, etc?
Is it easier to have single caliber weapon systems there is basically what I am asking lol
