yesterday afternoon I was shooting and noticed that when I went from 7x to 14x (highest power) my sight picture went from clear, edge to edge, to dark rings around the edges.

I did it a couple more times making sure to keep my eye relief and cheek weld the same and it still happened. anything below 10x is great but when I get above that it gets distorted. when i got closer to the scope the sight picture on 14x was fine but then i was uncomfortable and straining my neck.

anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this? Do I need to just find a middle ground on eye relief?

Thanks in advance

Re: eye relief problem

Move your scope back a tad.....problem is usually fixed. You don't say what scope you have, but most variables run like 3.8"-4" of eye relief at low power and 3.0"-3.3" at high power. If your going to run you scope at high power often, you will need it closer to your eye.
