I am in need of a new pair of shades. They will be multi use glasses for me. I will wear them shooting (scoped rifle, iron rifle, handgun, and shotgun), mountain biking, and casual. So I need something in the safety line. But also I am thinking about photochromic lens. I don't need a RX. I have narrowed down my list and am leaning hard on: Rudy Project Rydon Ii Carbon With Impactx Photochromic Red Lenses. From what they say the lenses have no distortion through out the field of view and to me that will be the most important thing. The glasses I have now are bad about that and it drives me nuts.
I would like to hear from anyone who has used these lenses from RP maybe not in this color or even frame but the lenses. How do they work? Do you have any distortion in the FOV? How durable are they? Any other thoughts or comments are also welcome. Or any suggestions on other brands that would work well, they don't have to be photochromic but that is nice for long mountain bike rides into the night or low light shooting.
Thanks for any help...
