F' it

"but don't feel the need to go Sr25"

A scar17 is a different version of a sr25 just not as good..

Take one of your sr15's... and call it a battle rifle. It's 2023 anything can identify as anything.

Do you want the decreased capacity, increased recoil and weight?

Do you want 400 more meters of "accurate" fire? Do you want a bullet that weighs twice as much as the heaviest mag fed 556 bullet?

Get a SR25

If you don't want that stuff. Put a light, grip, bipod attachment point and sling on your sr15. Throw a bombproof optic on it like a acog, aimpoint or elcan. Boom

Battle rifle...

Just make sure that NOT ONE COLOR MATCHES THOUGH

Speaking from experience, or just flapping them gums for 37 seconds?

Some 50 lb overweight dude or 14 yr old wanting to go to battle, but cant do a basic mag change or hit an IPSC at 100 yds off hand.

Trust me, I have been down the path of “getting the best” and not focusing enough on basic dang skills with basic reliable gear.
Never posted a Battle Rifle advice thread though. Cause the aids thing and all.

But yes, proficiency can’t be bought. Kinda like class, some people just don’t understand that concept

Preach to the choir. My doctor poked my belly the other day at my physical, I laughed like the dough boy. He was not amused

Unfortunately the thread is deleted. Lots of people on here don't like SCARs. I bought a 17, factory 13" barrel, mrex rail, Geissele trigger, mototech adjustable regulator, KDG charging handle, Griffin Minimalist flash hider, QD sling mounts, ADM Delta mount with Trijicon 1-6x. I absolutely love it. Ive got quite a few other AR15s and AR10s. Shot my buddies SR25, and a Daniel Defense AR10 before going with the SCAR. I absolutely love everything about it. It was worth every penny to me. I was shocked by its accuracy even with handloaded 147 grain projectiles. It shoots better than I can. Its like buying a 110k car. Lots of opinions. I bought a CTSV. Couldn't be happier.
