Two weeks ago I went round and round trying to ship an upper back to manufacturer.

Today....they refused to send a scope. Since I didn't have a box they wanted 30 bucks to pack it, then they looked at my box and it said Minox ZP5 Riflescope..oh...rifle scope...no can ship. If it TOUCHES a gun, we cannot ship it. FUCK THEM..FUCK UPS.

That’s horseshit. Don’t know what’s going on at your UPS store but they deliver gun related stuff to me regularly. Including ammo in clearly marked boxes.

Go to an actual UPS company hub, not one of their snowflake stores. Hubs won’t bat an eye and will get it on its way.

UPS stores here won’t even accept computer equipment for shipment.
Tried that last time...they wanted me to open a corporate account...I said fuck you and left.

I'll just drive 40 miles to use Fed Ex where I know they'll take it; or God forbid...USPS.

Most likely the social justice retard at the counter and not an actual UPS policy.

If it bugs you that much you could try to get that person fired. Call and email the whole corporate directory.

Ups stores can set their own policy that's stricter than corporate fyi. Call them they will tell you and tell you to take your business elsewhere

Your issue isn't really with UPS. Or it shouldn't be. UPS stores are independently owned by franchisees.

.

It's just about to the point that you have to lie about what's in the box. Lady at an actual UPS hub refused to ship a barrel blank for me. Wouldn't let me speak to a manager or listen when I read her UPS policy off my phone. She insisted that it had to go to an FFL. Needless to say I left a little pissed off and shipped it at a UPS Store. I told them it was a piece of round steel. No problem

I've had a UPS account for years and ship all the time w/o issue. Usually just leave at my old office with other pickups but I can have picked up at my house, hand off to a driver, or now there are UPS "Access Points" all over. Closest one to me is an Advanced Auto Parts! Only rarely have I ever used a UPS Store (while traveling) but even then it's simply a hand off of the prelabeled box or they might ask if I need a receipt.

You can sign up online.

Oh, I had this happen to me. I asked the fella to tell me the difference between it and a bird watching scope. Blank stare.... then... “this has a reticle”

gasp!! Oh noes, a grid!!

I cant stand the bullcrap at their stores, either.

Imagine, if you will.....if the United States government was operated fully by such fukkstiks......because in just a few short days IT WILL BE.

The delusional mentality that's infected the UPS store asshat ownership will be rampant from the highest levels of our "leadership".

Keep your head on a swivel....the faggotry has gone viral.

This about the 20th such thread I have seen here over the years, and that's just the ones I actually noticed.

Get boxes from the post office or from UPS - both are free.
Create an account with both services. Also free.

Package your own shit. Print your own labels and either drop it off at the post office, a UPS dropoff location (not a fucking UPS store), or request a pickup at your home or office.
It's ridiculously simple and easy.

Printable labels.

Agreed 100% the "UPS Store" is not a UPS facility and is there for wealthy people to overpay to get their dildos wrapped for shipping. I hate UPS stores, but use them sometimes as a drop off because I live a 15 minute walk from one.

Mine refuses to carry the branded UPS boxes that are free when you ship something overnight or 2nd day, instead they want to charge you $6 for a plain unbranded box to do the same thing lol foooook-offfff

These are free

Ups stores are independently owned and operated sounds like you got a lib owner

Yeah, those little ups stores are all independently owned I think. The one here is an Indian dude and his 3 Sons run it and they will ship whatever, but the one in another part of town where the libs are much more prevalent will pass out if they see a gun part...

Fed-ex is always the best but I've never had trouble with ups.

If it touches a gun? LOL So like, if this dildo touched my gun, you can't mail it? What about that stapler over there? My hand touched my gun, and its now touching that other customer's box; looks like you have to call them and tell them you can't ship it.

- Box the shit up
- Print label online
- Drop it off
- If anyone even asks anything, tell them its dildos or machine parts as you walk out

If I had a do over, I would have seriously argued the chassis I wanted to ship was a sex toy.

My local UPS store (franchise) won't ship/handle firearms, they tell me to take it to UPS hub, which is 10 minutes from me. The store management informed me that firearms must go thru a hub. They were polite telling me about it. Never had a problem with the folks at hub shipping arms or ammo.

1) I try to be honest with what is shipping just in case there actually is a loss claim.
2) Called UPS Store Customer Service number...."our policy and all UPS Store policy is not to ship firearm related items." I asked for the policy...they quote from UPS which says they will ship it. She furthermore told me she knows UPS Stores that will even ship ammo. SO WTF.
3) The "HUB" here sucks balls. Guy looked like he could be from the street corner who's packing them into the back of his stolen van. No ID Badge, nothing. Bullshit.

I had the same argument...dude...it's a telescope with lines etched in the glass. WTF!?!@?!?!??!?!

The whole "we need to know because if they open package for inspection" is crap, followed by the "well we just cannot insure it if it's firearms." Same guy....two answers.

So my argument is not only with their shitty stores it's also with the main carrier. I'll just drive the 20 miles and go to Fed Ex hub where they are clothed as Fed Ex employees and have an ID badge on their person.

I don’t ever ship through a UPS Store after being told by them that the insurance I purchased only covers loss and only covers damage if they pack it. I take everything to the hub, I have an account but it’s personal not business.

Same issue here, i a red county in a red town! I do NOT understand it at all. I even showed these fuckwits on THEIR site that its legal to ship all of that shit! But noooooo! Local
Wouldn’t ship bino, fucking BINOS. Told the bitch they were for bird watching and she grumbled and labled the damn thing. Wtf is wrong with these people!?

Me too. I'm in a Red State with 80% red city!!! Even the kid was like...I agree with you but that's the policy. I'll just take a little cruise out to FedEx in the morning. I need to burn some race gas out of the car anyway. Granted, I'm getting hammered with tequila right now trying to give myself a shot that the doctor has prescribed for allergies...fuck...I can dig shit out of my fingers/feet with a knife but slamming a needle is a different story.

Since your local ups store is anti 2A out them. Give us their address so we know which store to leave poor reviews online for.

Anything expensive I always go through the UPS shipping hub. The one in my area has excellent customer service.

I tried to ship a few rounds through UPS store here. Owner asked what was in it. I said ammo and he stepped back like it was gonna explode. Pussy.
I almost feel like telling them next time that it's depleted uranium billet rod. Probably take that. Shit, they'd probably take other stuff so long as it wasn't pistol, revolver, shotgun, or rifle related. Sure, Kim Jong, we can ship that for you...no problem...but you promise it's not going on a G U N.

Don't waste your time with UPS Stores, as previously mentioned they are franchises and apparently can set their own rules. I ran into a similar issue with my local UPS Store a few years ago and it wasn't even a firearm related item. Received the wrong part for my truck I had ordered, the place I ordered it from sent me a prepaid return packing slip for UPS so I was dumb enough to go to my local UPS Store. The young kid behind the counter placed my item on a counter behind him without attaching the label I came in with (I needed a box to return the item so I had already paid for the box but because a line had formed behind me the kid decided to speed up the process by throwing the stuff on the counter behind him apparently with the plan to box everything up after the line had been cleared out). Of course, I wasn't about to walk out the store with my return item laying on a counter, un-boxed and without my return label attached so I informed him I wasn't moving from the counter until I watched him package the item and attach the label.

TL;DR We went back and forth for about 3 minutes and when I pointed out that he could have just boxed the item and attached the label in less than a minute and instead arguing with me for 3 minutes thus holding up the line, he basically told me to "go F myself." So informed him to hand me back my item and refund me back my $3 for the box I had paid for, which ended up taking another 5 minutes and of course this whole time the line just keeps getting bigger behind me.

After I walked out and got back in my truck, I called UPS Corporate to file a complaint against the franchisee and while sitting in the parking lot on hold with UPS CS, the PoPo roll up on me and surround my truck. Apparently some young female coworker that was hiding in the back room during this whole affair decided to call the police and tell them I was "becoming aggressive and threatening towards staff and they feared for their lives..."

Of course I was calm the whole time I was in the store and after I was able to sort things out with the cops, by pointing out that I was on-hold with corporate and they could go in and check the surveillance tapes to see why my demeanor had been during the alleged "assault", they were good enough with that and after checking my ID and taking my name/license plate, they left me to complete my call with corporate, which BTW got me nowhere cause "UPS has no authority over their franchisee's."

Fun times.

I always love the look on the ups driver when my package says hazmat 8lb explosive and next week same driver has another.

I just smile and tell them I'm very happy to see them.

Went to send Sirhr some beer couple years back... Motherfuckers wouldn't do it, THEN called USPS and and narc'd on me, telling them I was trying to mail a goddamn six pack and MUST be stopped --so they sat on a package for damn near two weeks before I raised hell. Said they couldn't ship beer. Wait, it's not beer? No, it's a fucking widget and where did you hear it was beer anyway? Silence.

Yeah, well, good luck with that. Because they're now contracting out through these motherfuckers for shipments. Fedex has a truck drop shit off at 'em, then a local guy with a fedex van will load up from there vs. driving 50 miles back to the site.

But if I wanna mail a rifle and have the $6k insurance mean something (because the one time I didn't get it would be the one time I'd be out $6k) I have to go 50 miles and hand deliver it. At least the nice pretty blonde girl today both spoke English AND knew her job, imagine that, knew it was a rifle AND didn't take the bullshit "gotta be overnight" line, defaulted to ground. And it'll be there in two days. Ground. UPS can't pull off a ground shipment in a week from the neighboring state.

But trying to call Fedex prior and pay for it over the phone? Holy shit. It'd be easier to learn Hindi or Xhosa or some shit and just do it in one of Fedex's native languages... "Bop tsk ship a package click click" WTF did you just say? Yeah, love driving fifty miles one way just to get an English speaker in the US.

Private courier is the only way to go, but shit...

Go back tomorrow. Different employee, different result.

We moved last month and still receive mail addressed to the last owners. The day we moved in there was a UPS package at the front door. Took it to the UPS store...no problem, we'll return to shipper. Several days later another package arrives. Same UPS store, different employee. Sorry, you'll have to take to the hub (next town over about 30 minutes away). Contacted my realtor who was no help. I disposed of properly.

UPS stores are the Cheaper Than Dirt of the shipping industry. Prices are too high, and they’ll screw you every chance they get. Stop using them. They are all a bunch of left wing radical pussies. Go directly to UPS. They’ll ship anything, usually non questions asked. If you can, get online and print out your own shipping label and put it on your package. That way, all you have to do is walk in the UPS door, hand them the package and leave.

I've got a UPS store 5 minutes from my house, a UPS Customer Center (ie. package car hub) is 15 minutes away.

I go to the Customer Center for almost EVERYTHING.

As has been said a bazillion times upthread, this is an individual UPS Store franchisee policy NOT a UPS policy. I've shipped ammo, rifles, all kinds of stuff directly from the Customer Center counter and absolutely never had a problem.

From what I gathered talking to the UPS Store Customer service line on UPS's web page that is their policy, not just the store's policy. She then proceeded to read the UPS policy which say you may ship pretty much anything other than a plutonium core at the hub. However, the Hub here has a bunch of assholes and lazy people working there and is a worse experience than the UPS Store. (not to mentioned you feel like you could get mugged in there).

Regardless, UPS Store has for sure lost my business and likely UPS too. Too many different answers. Same bullshit I ran into almost 15 years ago shipping a pistol back to have warranty work done. Hub insisted next day air. I asked where that was written...crickets. My observation is that Fed Ex trains employees and UPS just makes the workers make up shit as they please based on how they feel at that particular time.

I'll add that the people I work for have a no UPS policy as well. That should tell me something I guess. Everything goes Fed-Ex.
