I sat down at my wife's computer, and saw that she was logged in on facebook. I started reading and quickly came to the conclusion that these people on facebook need to get a life.

I have used facebook to promote my work and its paid off very well for me. I dont mean advertising on facebook only networking and making facebook friends. Yes the people that post stupid sh*t but thats part of it. To each his own. YMMV PGG

I have made calls on duty because people are "harassing" each other and threatening one other on Facebook. So, they want a report. That's just a waste of time. If Facebook wasnt around most of these people would not be on speaking terms with each other.

Is what they put on facebook that much different from what you just wrote?

My wife is obsessed with facebook, everything we do she has to post about it, drives me nuts, she even went as far a to make a facebook page for our dog. Absolutely nuts, I think she needs to start working more than 2 days a week, LOL

It actually started as many things do, as a way to get laid. Facebook was cool until they allowed everybody, not just .edu, to become a member. That's when it went from people based to company based.
