He never mentioned why the Coils seem to initiate movement in the counter-clockwise direction . If it a global/hemispherical influence (N. or S.) . or other reason ?

I suspect its the same reason a toilet flushes clockwise and counter clockwise depending on if your above or below the equator. There 50 year old problem solved right here on the hide!

It's called the coriolis effect, and that wasn't the phenomenon with which the video was concerned.
