Give me some info on how to tell if an Eotech is fake.

You looking to buy one or trying to avoid it? I have some pics I can post up because I have both the real deal and some replicas and have taken a couple photos of them side by side. Pretty close but the difference is in the glass and the electronics. I've got a replica that has barely been used that I will likely post up for sale here soon as I don't need it anymore.

I think I just bought a CLONE.
Would the NV still work on a clone?
The NV works perfect on this one, but there it a lot of glare in the glass which makes me thinks it's fake and just did a search on the seller and I found out he was selling fake shit a few years back.

look on ebay. there is a fake everything. aimpoint micro, t1, acogs. they all come from china. some even have the aimpoint logo or eotech logo.

I have noticed there is a Tangible Difference in the finish if you look,between the Fakes(I can't even call them clones)and the real thing.The illumination on a FACOG is a dead give away as is the glass.The tube on a real ACOG has the raised markings also,never seen that on a fake,yet.

The Aimpooint M68's were pretty good forgeries on the outside. A guy in my unit picked one up for $150 from another friend of his, thought he got a good deal. As soon as you unscrewed the turret covers it was obvious, but to someone who doesn't have alot of experiance with them, they wouldn't be able to tell some of the fakes apart. The one my buddy got even had accurate lens covers, the subdued logo, and a good serial. Apparently whatever place in China made them knocked off a real one to the serial # and model #. Bastards

Here's the photos of the clone side by side with the real one. The fake is on the left and I can tell you that in person they look even more similar. The coating reflect the flash differently to look slightly different but in person they look identical.
