A guy who worked for our family business for years - and has stayed a family friend for the last 40 years . Married his high school sweetheart. Raised 3 sons - none who look like him - keep that in mind .


On his 30th wedding anniversary at a place that was special to them she had him served with divorce papers. And immediately moved in with his life long best friend- the best friend whom we shall call Steve , died shortly after and it’s since come out that he’s the bio father of all three boys . i knew somebody that was similarly desperate to escape his identity.
he was already divorced (his wife was cheating).
he didn't make a lot (maybe $50k) and was barely getting by after paying child support and whatever else the court requires.
he said his daughter wore old clothes and his ex was driving a new car, so he clearly felt she was spending the money on herself.
she is shacked up with the dude she was cheating with, and he was driving a brand new car as well.

Paid child support for 15 years. Every summer I would pick up my kids they would still be wearing the last clothes my wife and I bought them. When school started my ex would call saying she couldn’t afford clothes, school supplies, etc. I paid for every extra-curricular activity, sport, you name it. If not for my wife and me, birthdays and Christmases would have been pretty barren.

They will tell you my wife was a far better mom to them than their biological mother. The youngest doesn’t allow her around his family. She lives less than a mile away.
