I had no idea some folks are taking $10 AK plastic magazines and painting them to look like the top quality bakelite mags

if you are ordering used mags or friends are buying AK mags. Be aware of what you are receiving

Tell us more about the process. Trying to find bakelite 7.62x39 mags right now is an exercise in self-immolation.

Slab sides

spray paint an orange

then dabs on wood finish for the rest of the color.

I’d hate to spend $50 on Bakelite and later realize it was a $10 Tapco

I’ve been looking for one for my brother’s (RIP) Maadi.

The real ones just have a look to them that I’ve not seen duplicated in the past 30 years. AKMs look great with Bakelite mags. There have been periodic dumps where shipping containers of them hit the US, then dry up, then hit again.

C’mon Pyetr, we know you have some more over there!
