Hi Guys,

I was recently offered a Daystate sponsorship to shoot their new Panther PCP air rifle. I want to try to stay with FFP and mil/mil and not spend $3000 for a S$B so I thought I'd try the Falcon 5-25.

The game I play "Field Target" requires shots in as close to 10Y. So I need a scope that focuses down to 10Y. I've read that the Falcon 5-25 has a 10Y parallax but want to confirm that the scope does indeed focus to a actual 10Y. 11Y or 12Y will not do because I need to see clearly enough to put a .177 pellet cleanly through a 3/8ths hole without touching the edges.

Can someone who owns the scope check for me please.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the close range parralax, however, the .1 mil adjustments might be too coarse for the intended purpose.

FWIW, Falcon makes a "Field target" specific scope with 1/8" adjustments, it is also SFP.

I understand the desire to stay with the ffp mil/mil concept, but I don't think it is appropiate in this case.

I just gave it a quick try, and it is right on the bubble at the lowest mag setting. My eyes aren't great, and I can't dial past the point of perfect to be sure, it is dialed all the way in. It would work, but I can't swear that it is perfect.

Yeah I saw that FT scope on their site. I'm considering it also.

I used to think .1 mil clicks would be too course as well but in actuality they were fine when I tested. One click is about the same size as a pellet at 50Y. A typical kill zone is 1 and 1/8 inch at 50Y so I'm more concerned with the wind.

Are you saying that the scope is clear at 5X at 10Y? Did you try at 25X at 10Y?

Sorry to bother you but did you measure at the end of the scope or end of the barrel?

Thanks for doing this for me!

I know what you mean for sure. I used to go to track days and deep sea fish. I miss em! Only a few hobbies left now.
