I know yet another question regarding falcons lineup. I've been gone for awhile and haven't had time to stay up to date. Last I read these were just hitting the market and there was issues with eye relief. Wondering after my searching and coming up short. Are the current productions better on eye relief or are the just as critical? Also it seems like I've seen complaints as far as quality, has the product slipped from the past? Wanting to hold out for the new Vortex but need to get something in the mean time.

i have a 10x42 falcon and i like it i wish i would have got the 5-25 or 4-18 though cause i personaly need a little magnification out side of that i really really like it

I have one of the prototypes sitting on top of a 300wsm and it works fine. Is it anything like my USO? No it's not, but for the money, it's hard to beat. The eye relief does become more critical as you go up in magnification, but with a little practice and getting your stock properly adjusted, it works just fine.
I believe the last I heard about the new Vortex was sometime in June??? Could be wrong about that. They may be trying to iron-out some bugs first???? I'm honestly not sure.
I plan to buy one of the Vortex's myself, but I'm going to wait until a bunch of guys around here pick it apart then allow Vortex to do something about it, if there's anything wrong with it in the first place. I can say one thing about Vortex; They listen, and everyone says their customer service is one of the best.

I just got the 4-14-44 FFP mil/mil today. It took eleven days from opticswarehouse which is in the UK. I am still waiting on a Larue mount but my first impression is that I like it. I am also on the waiting list for the Vortex Viper PST.
