I have one. I have no issues with it so far but have only been to the range twice since I got it.

I snagged one on the RWSnyder group buy last summer and has worked great for me so far. Only a few hundred rounds down the tube but no complaints.

The knobs are a little mushy but not enough for me to regret my purchase. The eye relief is far from forgiving but for the price point it is what it is.

Take the turret caps off and wipe the heavy grease from the posts. This will make adjustments more tactile. Personally, I think the optic displays considerable quality for $500. It can play with the "big dogs" (which is why some people don't care for them). Durability and quality control may be an issue. However, over the last year the two Falcons that I have are still performing.

My biggist concern is the "one-man" nature of the corporate operation. If the owner gets hit by a car, has a heart attack, etc. - you will be out of luck on warranty issues. Same thing applies to the WOTAC. I don't understand the Falcon website either. It's a sign of bad business judgment. I still like the scope and the concept of an affordable tactical scope. If you buy one, just understand the potential downside.

i have one as well. there are two things mime exhibits that annoys me.
1- the markings on the knob and the actual distance traveled from one click to another varies so that when you're rotating your knobs, you will physically see that from one click to the next, you wont go from the 0 mark to the .1 mark (mil)on the knob
2- the parallax adjustment knob just has a triangle marking from 0 to infinity and does not have a line to indicate your current parallax setting. if you were to manually mark your minimum setting for the parallax knob, when you turn your parallax knob downward towards infinity all the way down, your mark would actually be past the infinity mark on the parallax knob.

as TCW has said, for the price and quality of the optic its definitely worth the price. so just be prepared for its quirks if you do commit.

Re: Falcon Optics 5.5-25x Production Model

I have put about 400 rounds down range with one of these mounted on a 308 bolt gun. Its still kicking and hasn't failed yet. I noticed in the upper range of the elevation adjustment (past 4 mils) it starts to shorten up ... .5 (5 clicks) was actually about .4 (4 clicks) on the target ... Shooting vertical test groups at 100 yards. As others have mentioned - for the money - it is what it is. The bigggest complaint I have with it is the eye relief.
