Gunsmithing Fat Bastard & Little Bastard brakes

In the past these brakes have been priced at $145 & $185. I'm doing them 100% in house now and it has allowed us to lower the price. I just finished a large run of FB's and have a very large run of LB's to run shortly. The new pricing will be effective today and will be:

$145 for the Fat Bastard
416 SS
comes standard 5/8x24 tpi
and ready for 7mm. It can be opened for
338 Lapua by us or your smith.

$95 for the Little Bastard
416 SS
comes standard 5/8x24 tpi
and ready for 6.5mm. It can be opened
up to 338. This brake is not designed to be turned below .850

I changed our pricing on more than one item. Getting the new machine spun up has helped with a lot of things.

Here is a link if you want to check out the rest.

Re: Fat Bastard & Little Bastard brakes

The Fat Bastard works unbelievably well on my .300 Ultra. If your looking to tame something down, this is the brake for you.

Re: Fat Bastard & Little Bastard brakes

Nothing personal, but I hope to never see your fat little bastards on the range shooting next to me. Fooking muzzle break dudes....now I have to use ear plugs and muffs. :)

LOL!! The brake works awesome but it will take the hat clean off the guys head sitting next to you. Or blow his cup of soda onto the ground LOL!!

Re: Fat Bastard & Little Bastard brakes

If there vagina can't handle it they can leave or throw me out.

Taking their hat off I doubt. But polite she will never be.

Maybe that's why I have my own range........

We shoot at ASC all piled up on each other and the only people bitch'n are the ones without one. Regardless of what brake it is. These things are tools. I don't shoot one on my 308 because the recoil bothers my sensitive nature. I shoot one because by the time you can call my correction I already have another round on target.

That being said I did blow an empty corbon box over to the next bench at Hard Rock once. That's about 3-4 feet.

I'm going to make a T-shirt that says:

"Stand back I shoot a Fat Bastard!"

No really I've done both, knocked someone’s hat off and knocked over a half full cup of soda from a bench. He may have been a little close and nosy but his hat came off,LOL.

Jered if you make that shirt I’m in or one.

Jered, you mske one, and give it to me free when you put a little bastard on my rifle and Ill wear it.

Oh and I need a 3x, cause I am a fat bastard, and so that way me and my rifle could be twins.

Re: Fat Bastard & Little Bastard brakes

I have a 7mm Savage barrel in the works that might just have to have a LB since the barrel will be 1". To be honest, it's the name that's got my attention. Order from the web site? Where do I note to ream it out for a 7mm?

Re: Fat Bastard & Little Bastard brakes

Order it by calling us at the number below. We can open it here for a fee or you can open it up by cutting with a series of reamers from the front towards the back. If you have a good boring bar that works as well. We use solid carbide Circle M boring bars with inserts. They aren't cheap but do great work. Some run over $300. Not what you want to see explode in the CNC when you set an offset wrong

Jered, what the cost on threading and installing a little bastard? And whats the turn around time on something like that?

Rifle is a 700spsT and Im local Id deliver it myself.

Re: Fat Bastard & Little Bastard brakes

Right now about 30 days and $100+ the brake. We have an assembly and disassembly fee that's $35. If it's already taken apart then no issue. We check over everything during that process not just slap it back together and call it good. It's your call. If you want just give us a shout and schedule a visit. Duluth is 30 minutes away........I'm surprised you haven't been here already.

mscott,
we'll be here when you are ready.

Trigger,
Thanks
I also lowered bolt knob installs to $75

Jared sent me a LB to try. I installed it on my 7/300 and shot it today. Works like a charm.

I would have to agree with you on that one Roscoe!! I have had plenty of trigger time behind several of Jered and Dave's rifles with both sizes of their brakes and I don't think any other brake can even come close to the performance that they provide. No other brake will be put on any of my rifles!! Hell for that matter no one else will build my guns besides APA!!
