175 Berger non-VLDs are my personal favorite for 1K shots. The VLDs work really well, actually better than the regular ones. But they are a pain in the butt to get tuned right.

168's under 600 & 175 or 155's out to 1K...... I'm trying to whittle it down to just one, and so far I'm leaning towards the 175's for everything.....

I have also jumped in feet first with the 175 smk. I am looking into the 178 AMAX and Hornady 178 BTHP based on meplat inconsistency with some of the smks.

I would say 175 but my 1-11.25 in in 300 Win Mag and it loves the 190 and 208s

308, what length are you loading your 175s to? I also have a Rock barrel 11.25 but mine is 25.75 in length. The smith told me what he had reamed it to but I don't have that written down right in front of me at the moment.

168s crap out at around 575-600. I'd look to the 185 Berger BTLR for something that carrys and can make it to 1200+ before it goes transonic.

175 SMK, 178 Amax(favorite), 175 nosler all good. I've heard good things about the 185 scenar too but haven't gotten to use it yet. As for powder I use varget.

I have 3 barrels with 1-11", Rock, Krieger and Bartlein....all 3 drive the 155gr scenar very well.

been using varget buts its like finding rocking horse shit now,
switching to vit 550 for the next couple of loads,
will have to try the 208amax [do they work in 1-11 ]seems like there is a lot of you liking it,
any one tried the heavys on game
