Great move. The reticle was the weakest part of the NX8 imo and it’s great they finally gave it a good 8x reticle

I'm fine with the old reticle. The dot is only for close in work, anything requiring dope you're holding the elevation anyways, below the dot.

Looking at the specs, how can Primary Arms make this optic with 0.1MRAD adjustment yet Nightforce can’t?

Is the big deal because of the windage adjustments etched into the reticle, vs on the other options, it only has elevation? Or is there more to it?

Trying to decide between a VCOG 1-8 and a NF 1-8 for a build I intend on taking to a class.

I’ll wait til I have one in hand (gonna be a bit, I overspent on optics recebtly) and compare to my 1-8 VCOG SCO before deciding which stays, but immediately I am interested in a more advanced reticle at a lower weight. The mounted NX8 package: A) will weigh about half a pound lighter; B) feature a reticle I like more; C) cost less than or about comparably to the VCOG SCO… that’s mighty tempting. I hate nothing more than taking a pointable light carbine and making it heavy.
