Any of you guys running Federal 215's in your 308 Win? I have been running Varget with Federal 210's with so so accuracy. Just curious with the 215 and Varget, if the hotter primer would help with accuracy?
It's hard to get a 308 to not like Varget. So before you go and change primers, how about some more information, like:
What rifle?
What bullets have to tried?
What your COAL?
What loads of Varget?
What's your accuracy expectations?
Are your shooting from a bags on a bench or Bipod?
Have your tried any factory match ammo in this rifle, and how did it shoot?
According to an article in "Handloading" it seems to...the guy there used CCI Mag rifle primers. You do have to back off a couple of grains and work back up to speed. Not just from what I have read, but from personal experience.
