I bought a box at my local store.....took it to the range for a little testing.

Rifle: GA Precision Rem 700 with 22" barrel. 1:11.25 twist rate
Chrono: set 15 ft from the muzzle

Average velocity was 2567 fps.

I shot the rifle on a bipod with rear bag off the top of a picnic table. In hindsight, I should've shot from the prone position, but didn't. Not happy with the group, so will go out another time & try again...

Give 'er another try from prone. But, remember every rifle is different and may just be a load that your stick isn't fond of.

Yeah, it shot the Hornady 178 ELD-X ammo much better.....the table wasn't built the best & had a slight wobble I had to deal with.....I'll definitely go prone next time....

So I just got a couple boxes to try. Basically, if this stuff came out about 5 years ago I wouldn't have had a reason to handload for this particular rifle. I was adamant about using the 185gr Berger bullet. This ammo shoots damn near identically to my load. 2570ps out of a 20" Shilen barrel, 7fps SD, and even to the same point of impact.

Throat in my 5R is long. Sierra 175 MK works well in it. 175 RDF needs to be single loaded long to shoot well.
I wonder where these 185's fit in?

What twist in your barrel. This is for Hadesprecission and others who have had good luck with this load.

Has anyone tested the 185gr Juggs against the 190gr Nosler Accubond Longrange in 308?

I am shooting a 1/10 22” custom barrel. It handles the 185 grain bullet very well. After breaking barrel in I shot a rainbow of different manufactures ammo at different weights. The Federal 185 grain and Norma 168 grain were clear winners with both sub MOA at 100 yards. Interestingly, the Federal shot slightly better than Norma at 200 & 300. Another interesting note, I use JBM ballistics tables. The Federal bullet shot low at 100 yards against tables and high using tables at 200 and 300. It seems to handle the longer ranges about .25 MOA better than Norma.

Has anyone compared the factory loaded berger ammo loaded with this bullet vs the federal ammo?
