I cannot disagree with what you have said. I just know of the current state of politics in the OC region and am not happy with what I see. The officers of law who are doing their best to uphold the law are somewhat hamstrung by the politics of the reigning pols.

Most upper-level 'management' types are political. Not professional. Most ditched their oaths and their professional credentials at some point to get those last few steps up the Ziggurat...

That applies not only in L.E. but in DOD as well. Once you get above Brigadier... you are political at some level.

The rank and file, hopefully, recognizes that their oath is to the Constitution, not to the appointee or the politico. Most remember their oaths. Some are amoral climbers who will not. In the end... they end up being the embarrassments that cast a shadow on the 99.9 percent of the best, brightest and most-committed.

One of the reasons why the left thinks that they have all kinds of power is because the 'apparatchik' will be on their side... a fallacy encouraged by upper-level political-types who assure them that "I am in control." Sure you are, zippy.

Don't let political retards paint the rank and file with their treason. When push comes to shove, the vast majority of those who put on uniforms do so because they love their country and its Constitution... not for a paycheck or for loyalty to some leftist political figure.
