Does anyone have any first hand expience with this load? Specifically velocities out of a 18" 1:8 twist rifle?
looking for alternatives to black hills and IWI. The 185s shoot great out of my .308

If you mean this,

Federal Premium Gold Medal Berger Ammunition 223 Remington 73 Grain

I don't have velocity info for you as I do not have a chrony....but it was very accurate out of a JP 20". I was almost ready to go with that ammo but then tried Copper Creek Cartridge Company 77gr Berger....and it shot even better than the Federal.....now I'm going with the Copper Creek. The Copper Creek Berger's will do .5 moa out of my rifle....I'm amazed at how well the JP shoots it.

If you're interested in trying some different factory ammo, I've also found Defender 69 and 77gr SMK's, Prime 77gr, and PMC 77gr XTAC Match to be extremely accurate factory ammo. The PMC reportedly runs very slow but it was super accurate.
