FGMM 1X brass ...what's it costing these days?

Re: FGMM 1X brass ...what's it costing these days?

Buy some 1X LC brass instead, I got 500 from scharch for 90something? shipped fully processed ready to go. It's good stuff and will last awhile.

I wouldn't take FGMM 1X brass for free, I had too many problems with it. It's good the first time; after that not so much.

Keep in mind that while LC is good brass and will last a while, if you are shooting anywhere near full loads you will get bolt lift issues as it tends to stretch a good bit.

I had a lot more trouble with LC than I ever have with FGMM (and yes, I get it free). Finally after 4 reloadings, I found a few split necks on the Fed. I always full length resized and never annealed them. I've never had a blown primer with it though.

All this must mean you're not trying to push 2850 fps with 175 SMKs out of a 24-inch barrel.

SISSY!!!

On-topic, I paid $50 for 500 FGMM 1x-fired bolt gun food a year or two ago, and would gladly do it again.

Damn! And I thought my nuts were big when I got 2600 out of a 20".

PS. Yeah, seems like I've seen them go for .10 to .15 a few times.

That was a joke.

I've seen a lot of "my load is great!" posts here on the Hide that my copy of QuickLOAD sez is like 10,000 overpressure.
