ran like 13 different NIB ammo thru my new "precision" ar15, 6 ARE brands i woUld consider to be top quality. prime, corbon, hornadyx2 (tap and match), norma and fmgg

using my labradar, with 5 shot groups, i was getting fairly good ES and SD numbers except for the FGMM, ES-112 AND SD-42.

IN COMPARISON, THE CORBON 77 GR AMMO HAD AN ES 31 AND SD-12.

IT GROUPED OK, (CAME IN FOURTH) BUT I HAVE SHOT THIS GUN OUT TO 870 AND THE ES IS REALLY GOING TO COME INTO PLAY FURTHER OUT.

I HAVE 2 QUESTIONS, I BOUGHT A 200 RD CASE THINKING IT WOULD BE DARN GOOD AMMO,,,

AM I BEING TOO PICKY FOR 1$/RD 223 AMMO? IT'S FGMM, IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE LEGENDARY!

HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS SAME EXPERIENCE? I HAD HEARD SIMILIAR THINGS ABOUT FGMM 6.5 CM AMMO ON HERE.

I CALLED FEDERAL TO TALK ABOUT IT BUT DANG THEY ARE HARD TO GET A HOLD OF!

69 GRAIN ANYTHING IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY BEYOND 400 YARDS OR SO

I seriously doubt Federal will give you the time of day over your "complaint".

If you don't like how it performs, sell it. You will get your money back. If you want to avoid wasting that much time and money looking for accurate ammo, make your own.

I had no luck with the 69 FGMM, could not get it to group. I have had bad results with the 69g SMK in general. 77g FGMM / 77g SMK / Berger 77g OTM all worked very well. Im shooting a bolt gun with 1:8 twist with a standard 223 chamber. I seat to standard mag length. Ironically the 69g TMK worked pretty good. I concluded it was the bullet and not the ammo itself.
