Final Build & Paint FDE 18" AR **Pic Heavy**

It goes over the build and range results etc. (I need to get back out to the range and run it again)

This thread is mainly to show the final product with paint. I used Brownells Aluma-Hyde II in coyote and did the paint myself. I am really happy with the way it turned out.

Parts List

-Spike's upper receiver

-WOA barrel & Bolt

-Spike's bolt carrier

-Samson evo 12.37" rail

-Gun fighter Mod 4 charging handle

-AAC blackout muzzle brake (host for my next purchase)

-Vltor low profile gas block

-Spike's lower receiver with UBR and MIAD grip

-Geissele SSA-E trigger

-Burris XTR 1-4x with P.E.P.R. mount (already have these)

How do you like the Samson evo looking into getting another rail and so far its between this and a troy. Good looking rifle by the way. What kind of groups you getting. Just changed by RRA barrel to a Daniel Defense w 1/7 twist and all I can say is wow should have done it a while ago.

I've held the Troy, and personally like the Samson better. It's a nice rail and comes with 3 pieces of picatinny to mount wherever you want. I'm a fan of the 1/7 myself. The WOA barrel I bought has turned out to be very accurate. I've put up some sub .5 MOA 3 shot groups with it at 200 yards with 55 grain PMC Bronze factory ammo. I'd like to try some match stuff and see what it can do. I plan on freezing my ass off this weekend and putting some 5 round groups up at 100-200 yards.

I like the HG. Looks very similar to a TRX but correct length to use with a FSB.

Very sharp, never thought of spraying a light coat over the original anodizing. How does the sling work for you in that configuration? It looks like its rather short...

Works out great. It's a Vtac, so I can adjust it on the fly.

Nice work! What did you use for the pattern during spraying (screen size , etc)?

I just used a cheap laundry bag from wal-mart

Hoping to have my revamping done by Xmas!Got all the new goodies in except the stock and optic...
