Ok,

I'm making a two hour trip to shoot that baby. It turned out awesome.

I'm dont remember the link, it might have been on GAP's website but there is a company that will coat components (stocks/actions/receivers) for roughly 150 per component. I'm about 90% sure on this but if I come across the website again I'll be sure to link you.

Re: Finally completed my Mega AR... thoughts?

I chose the 16" for several reasons. It is relatively short, but allows me to still reach out a bit further than an Army issue 14.5", I can still easily "walk" a room without hitting everything... and the most important reason I don't have to have either a trust or anything else like that. (I figured spend more money on the rifle and ammo and go shoot the hell out of it til I can get a SBR and a can.)

HCBR charged me $175 for it to be stripped, painted and reassembled. It seems fairly durable as I have taken the ADM mount on and off a couple of times and Hanse scratched or marred the finish. (I know that's not scientific...)

I haven't had the opportunity to fire it yet or even zero it, I went by other reviews and the fact that I plan on getting an AAC mini4 for it in the future.
