    Hello all,

So I finally finished painting my rifle, well kinda. I just need to remove stencils and throw some clear on it. It's not perfect but I think so far, it already looks half decent. Not sure if I'll finish her up tonight or tomorrow. Whenever I decide to do so, I'll add the finished paint job pics here on post #1. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Aw come on, you gotta do that too. And the scope. It's just mask and paint.....
In a way, I'm kinda glad I didn't do the whole thing. I pulled off the stencils already and threw some clear on it. It really didn't come out looking too good. Looked much better with the stencils on it. I'll probably end up having it done right by sending it for some cerakote some time in the future. I think that because the green i used is a light shade of green, it does not pop out a lot from the light brown/tan/khaki colors. Perhaps using an airbrush to go with a dark green with a low pressure over the stencils would have made a difference. I'll post pics shortly.

Just updated my original posts to include the finished outcome. Really don't like how the colors look. They don't seem to go well together. Maybe I'll end up repainting a bit differently and later on have it sent for some cerakote to get a real paint job. For now, it's already done and since I hunt a lot in South Texas, I'll leave it like this. It'll camoflauge me more this way than all black anyways.

OP, you can always just strip it down and try again... No shame brother!!

Yeah, thats exactly what I'll be doing soon. I liked how it looked all khaki and then also all khaki with some of that brown in random areas.

But I bought more colors and I think I will do a multicam with colors that more closely resemble the brush here in South Texas. I like how the overall finish and pattern came out but those colors simply don't seem to go well together.
