Well, before I deployed I started my Form 1 for a SBR AR Lower. I figured that while I was in Iraq the paperwork would works its way through and it would be there when I got back. Not so fast - I turned the Paperwork in the early part of January 11 and checked before I left that the ATF had cashed the check and that it went pending. In late March my wife sends me an email telling me that the ATF sent my paperwork back for an error. What is the error you ask - when you do a Form 1 make sure you use both sides and not just the front. I will get the paperwork from ATF from now on.

She had to send the paperwork to Iraq for me to sign and then get the local Sheriff to sign the new paperwork which he did - he is a good guy and knows me a little too well. She sent it back to the ATF after talking to the ATF Examiner about some issues/questions about the paperwork and finding out all is good to go. She sent it back to ATF and had it back in just over two weeks with the stamp.

I think I owe my wife some new jewelry when I get back

I am running a Noveske 10.5" 6.8mm upper on a LMT SBR lower and am planning on building another 223 10.5" upper too. I have an AAC M4/2000 that I will run on the 223 Upper. I may have to look at getting a M4/2000 in 6.8mm too. Oh, the possibilities are endless.

I need to send the lower off to Orion when I get back to have it engraved. Has anyone dealt with them and how long did it take to get the lower back?

I was thinking a Noveske Adjustable Gas block may be the ticket for the build. I am going to send my 6.8mm back to Noveske to get one put on too as I am getting ready to get a 6.8mm AAC M4/2000 for that upper.

I had them engrave my LMT sbr and they done a excellent job! I hated to mail my lower from TN to MN, but I read so many good things about their work. The local guy in town was swamped and he engraved two other lowers for me in the past. The work Orion done was much better. They engraved mine above the safety controls and blackened the letters after the work was done. You will be happy. Thanks for your service and stay safe!
