Finding Supplies

How is everyone finding Supplies? I got lucky on some primers but can seem to find powder to save my life right now.
What powder you looking for? Have seen several online places with it in stock off and on the last 2 weeks, H4350, CFE Pistol and 223, H335, HP-38, varget, H110. I picked up 16 of the H4350 and 6 of the H110. Shit tons of powder and primers for sale and trade on the gun forums. Everyone is running all over hell and buying up everything and re selling it.

Most of the online stores have had big drops multiple times in the past month so I have to ask if people are that hard up what have they been doing?

The in demand powders like Varget sell out within 1-2 min, others that are still popular like H4350 might last 5-10 min.

Less popular stuff like IMR 4064 or H4895 stays around for maybe an hour .

At least 5000 people are hitting F5 on their computers waiting to get the in stock notification for primers so if you’re not running a bot you just have to push through the 404s until you hopefully get a confirmation.

I can’t believe more people didn’t see this coming. Good luck.

Had some success going "off-brand" to Accurate 4350, Accurate MagPro, and Winchester StaBall 6.5. Stocked up on all of them when I realized finding Hodgdon was a pipedream. Midway USA has been a good source for me, as their alerts work when things come in-stock. Primers are a different story. I had to go to GunBroker and pay extortion-level prices, but I'm stocked up now. Good luck. I'm hoping this doesn't last forever.

I remember my economics professor giving us a slide show from his trip behind the iron curtain in 1985. Long lines of people around the block to buy toilet paper. We were shocked and amused. Fast forward to today. Can't buy primers, powder or ammo and then being told that you are stupid for not spending thousands of dollars to have a lifetime supply to fuel a recreational hobby. The reloading component supply chain is broken, plain and simple.

Let’s hope it remains recreational!

I was thinking I was smart using IMR4064 and right now I can't even find that. I have a small stash (save the "shoulda stocked up" as I just started last Jan). This summer the "off" brand stuff was fairly available but right now it is ZILCH on everything. Hopefully it is just a post-xmas lull, I always notice in the past inventory was super low Jan/Feb.

My creedmore and magnums are gonna go dry soon, at least my 308 will stay fed. I've gotten pings on varget over the last year but been to slow even pre-pandemic.

Was able to snag some H4350 (2lbs) this fall. H1000/Retumbo? I dunno if my alert ever even went off.

If you are patient you can nab primers (small pistol the exception--my son snagged from me off the truck where he works). But things like Varget/Retumbo/H1000, even H4350 go FAAAAAST. Literally set your phone to text you and set the volume to max.

Bullets weren't as bad had to wait a month on 140 ELDM, everything else was in-stock.
