I've heard of this "snow" you speak of and even seen it once or twice
smile.gif
... Is that a factory caliber in the Steyr or is it a custom build?

this will surprise you the rifle is 8.3 lb
and the entire rig is 9.5 lbs
so it should be good
on top the stock is better suited for recoil than a marlin leaver....

Re: finish my Steyr big bore pro-hunter rifle

Canuk,

Nice rifle... I just got a call from my dealer. My new Steyr Pro Hunter stainless in 7mm remington magnum arrived today. I was searching for rails and saw your rifle. You like the NEAR MFG over the Talley rails and rings?

Also, how did you get your bolt "round handled?" I've spoken to Steyr and they've told me I'll have to send in my bolt handle, have it heated up and a round handle can be installed. You can't buy one for the gun due to the head spacing being adjusted at the factory, thus pairing the bolt to the rifle. Looks great by the way. I'll be putting a Schmidt & Bender 3-20x50 PMII on it with a round bold handle and saving for the same stock! LOL Great minds think alike..

Last thing might be an SAS muzzle break with quick detatch titanium suppressor. I'd like to find out if a .338 suppressor can be effective on a 7mm. That way I could get the .338 Ti SAS Vengeance which I will use on my future rifle, which is the SSG 08 .338LM. I've read this article which states that it can be used on the 7mm.
