Cool! I like 223. You don't always have to use huge calibers to have a ton of fun.

Is that the stock barrel? What twist? If it's not too fast, like a 1:9 - 1:10, you can try down to 40gr pills, mine shoots them surprisingly well. It's tough to seat them long enough though, but I found my rifle likes about .040" jump anyway, which is right around 2.250" OAL which is doable with those little bullets.

I'm using Varget, you may want to give that a try too. It seems to like near-max loads, like 26-28gr if your cases can hold it all, but for 1:9 barrels and heavy bullets (69s and up), it's a great combo to get the RPM high enough to stabilize them. IMR XBR8208 is also a really good powder, but I buy local and more guys carry Varget than 8208, so I can't give you much info on it.

Sweet rifle!

I've always liked have a 223 to play and shoot with. So much I had a custom built by BOP for my wife and I just bought a new 700P in 223 to have as a project for myself. Cheap to shoot, fun and will do what ever we're asking of them!

Shoot away and enjoy!!!!!!!'

I love shooting the bolt 223 at distance. I have shot mine out to 650 yards on a 10" steel and was nailing it every shot. It also was not a windy day so that is always good too. When you put a suppressor on that 223 it shoots like a pellet rifle. Very nice rifle.
