My Remington 700 is about complete, and I'm looking for some suggestions on the finishing touches.

I've got a Bushnell ERS in FDE, and I'd like to paint my XLR stock to match. Is there a paint (spray paint, or something durable that I can do at home) that best matches Bushnell's FDE?

As for the barreled action, what are my options for painting/coating? I'm not worried about making it look fancy, I just want to have the action and barrel be a uniform color, and protected against rust, etc...

Alumahyde two is the best in a spray can but I would order a couple of cans of the same color as they fail a lot so a spare is good. Or call Brandon at Mid Tenn Gunsmithing and have Him ceracote it.

CeraKote is great for corrosion protection. Duracoat just started selling aerosol spay cans as well, and they have tons of different color options. You can even order cheap color samples from Houts first...
