First attempt at a Hunting Rig

Over the last couple years I have been trying to figure out how to have the equipment that I need handy while hunting. So far I have not gone out for more than a day, so at present I am not using my big pack. I have wanted to set up a chest-rig type deal with the things I need where I can get at them, and a few extra things on my back. I found a chest-rig that had an attached belt, and got some various sized packs to attach via molle straps, including a 3 liter hydration pack. I then got some Blaze Orange Nylon from Jo-Anne Fabrics, and made a cape type set-up so that I have more than the required 250 square inches of Orange on the top of my back and shoulders.

I'll have to see how it works out this year and make adjustments later.

Anyone who has similar style hunting-rigs, I'd like to see what you have to get more ideas.

The only things I need when I'm hunting are my rifle, bino/rangefinder, knife, bottle of water, and some Copenhagen. I try to keep weight to a minimum. I have a bino chest pack from AGC that does the trick. Fwiw, my buddy uses a duck vest made by
LLBean that accomplishes exactly what ur setup is doing, and it's orange with an integral game bag. Check it out

took my eberlestock g4 operator out hunting this weekend.... i love that pack check it out, had enough room to put stuff i needed and stuff i dont, its like my hunting bug out bag have food water and anything else i need. although its heavy with all the shit i have once you throw it on you can still move with it..... the built in scabbord was a big help when climbing up the deer blind and when tracking. other than my bag all i need is a good set of boots.....
