"First ever observed black hole"
"Recent findings suggest that black holes can rotate at speeds greater than 90 percent the speed of light."

If Earthlings could harness the power of a black hole...the human race possibly might be able to achieve interstellar travel.

WRONG.

Second one actually... ;)

Actually in all seriousness, it's a milestone in astrophysics to this day. I really like the Veritasium channel and how he formats his videos.

On a serious note, I theorize that everything that is sucked into a black hole is compressed to the point of hydrogen, then spit out in a different portion of the space/time continuum as the hydrogen gas clouds that eventually congeal into new galaxies which eventually collapse into blackholes and spit out Hydrogen ...and so on. Almost like a living breathing organism...

I have my own hypothesis on the feasibility of micro-mini black hole propulsion interstellar starships.

Maybe tomorrow...I'll get more into it.

Cheers...

Your theory is actually not that far off the mark. Just like black holes are giant vacuums. There are unexplained phenomena know as white holes which are the polar opposite. They spew atomic energy.

For more bake your noodle theories, look up the LIGO gravitation wave project. https://www.ligo.caltech.edu/detection

More good reading, Cygnus X-1 is a known black hole that is in a binary orbit with another super massive star.

A Type III civilization on the Kardashev scale WILL be able to harness the energy of a black hole for such purposes. A cinematic / literary example of a civilization with that level of technology would be the First Galactic Empire of the Star Wars franchise.

Currently, the human race is a 'Type 0.7' on the Kardashev scale. We should reach Class I, a basic planetary status with total control over all of it's available terrestrial resources, in the next 100 to 200 years.

According to Kardashev and Carl Sagan's estimates, we would attain Class III status from 100,000 to a million years.

One of the greatest threats to our existence is ourselves. The human race as a whole could have been even more advanced had not been for periodic disturbances inflicted by predatory social and political movements.

The events of the 20th century alone probably set the human civilization back by more than 200 years. It was a century of unparalleled advances in technology, and yet, it was also when some of the darkest facets of human nature reared itself.

This is pretty cool thing

But I still want to make a Maxine Waters joke.

I didn't read this thread..............don't know what they have here............but, I will guarantee........this is not the,

I've seen more than one long before this date.............

Perhaps a physical manifestation of the Hindu belief that universe dies and is reborn.

Complacency and willingly allowing groups with deviant agendas to push their shit into the legislative level is another major stain on our current society.

In 1959, people very realistically believed that in 2019, we would have manned interplanetary travel, colonies on other planets, and cures for almost all of the dreaded diseases plaguing mankind. Instead, we got lawmakers trying to normalize fucking pedophilia...

A morning show I was listening to was talking about this while driving into work. They managed to get a flat earther douche bag on the phone. Way to ruin my communte. Anyway, according to him these pictures are fake. Sorry guys, I thought you should know. o_O

The National Science Foundation say's "stay tuned for an image of our own galaxy's (in the center) super-massive black hole."

Here are a few interesting concepts on black hole starship propulsion:

That is really remarkable stuff right there. Understanding something is the key step to building reliable technology off of it. Human beings have witnessed the awesome power of fire since the very beginning, but it would be thousands of years later before chemical matches and lighters placed the convenience of instant and portable fire into everybody's pockets.

Like they say: "We are born too late to explore the Earth, but too early to explore the stars". The next several generations will yield a lot of interesting things.

Here is my .02 on black hole starships --- Since my double nighttime foo fighter sighting...one night in November, 1976, I've had a long time in trying to figure out how they tic.

Find a smallish rogue black hole in space somewhere...bombard it with an antimatter bomb --- grab a small remaining piece of the BH, an tractor beam it to a refinery on an asteroid and mill it till it becomes a micro-mini BH. The other alternative is to manufacture a synthetic spinning micro mini BH the size of a proton.

Install the MMBH in a stasis tube, in the center bottom hull of a non-integrally hulled saucer craft. Install thruster outlet tubes radially from the stasis sphere to the outside horizontal hull --- including center top & bottom of the saucer craft. Install photon receptors on the outside hull. that can funnel photons to the stasis sphere.

Point the photon receptor to a starlight photon source. Open the lens, and funnel the photons to the MMBH...which creates an accretion disc around the MMBH. The accretion disc sends the photons to the north an south polar jets and expelled to a certain portion of the thruster outlet tubes --- extended radially from the MMBH. The photon exhaust exits out at more than 90 percent the speed of light --- Which causes the resulting thrust to easily speed the saucer craft to the speed of light barrier (because of constant acceleration), increasing speed exponentially squared and beyond into the superluminal realm.

The MMBH creates one or two magnetic shields surrounding the starship, that avoids the bad effects of the speed of light barrier --- because it mimics "no rest mass" --- like a photon behaves. Direction vectors of the starship is managed by closing off certain thruster tubes. For example: Close off the photon receptor lens...rotate the top hull 180 degrees --- open the receptor lens --- the thruster outlet tube is opened on the opposite side of where the former thruster was functioning --- Which would cause an instant stop. Other directional vectors can then be easily explained with the craft doing 90 turns an vertical and descending motions.

In places that lack a starlight photon source...a small amount of finite seawater fuel is injected between the two offboard magnetic shields. One or both shields compresses the seawater with extreme pressure till the duterium fusion plasma reaction occurs --- thus providing photons too feed the ever hungry MMBH. A small layer of seawater, just outside the offboard hull of the starship, protects it & the crew from neutron radiation from the fusion plasma reaction.

None of that is going to happen as long as we are wasting money on welfare /.gov parasites, plus .gov/big business graft and corruption, plus fighting Stone Age people, plus bringing in Stone Age people. Plus trying to turn the world completely socialist. We are headed towards the dark ages

Did anyone catch that he said, “if earthlings can....”?
Not, “if ‘we’ can”.
Not only is this guy a troll. He’s a troll from another planet!
