I had been thinking for awhile about getting an ultralight AR built, something that could easily go in a scabbard on your back while carrying a bolt gun, just in case you needed something close up.
So after talking with a very knowledgeable guy at my local gun store, we went over the details & he put this one together for me. It comes in at 5.6 pounds all in (including optic & sights).
Nice all metal construction with a buttstock that you can pound things with, and an adjustable gas block.

With 11 rounds of 75gr ammo (10 round mag so it can easily fit in a scabbard and be ready to go when first pulled out), it comes in at 6 pounds.

I was pretty pleased in how it came out weight wise & also the look and feel.

Now to decide on a sling
