First range report.... Woohooo!

Well, first one at appreciable distance

. Took out my 700P today for Thursday practice at a local range, done at 600y every week. I had had some issues working out a problem with it for quite some time, but finally got it all squared away. I'd taken it out for its virgin run as a complete rig recently, and it was happily posting 0.5 MOA groups at 100.

Anyway, got to the range, set up my gear, looked up the proper dialing with a range card (this was with 175 SMK). Took about two shots to get it just right. And then, magic. X after X after X. This was a 1 MOA X ring. So yep, was posting sub MOA at 600 nonstop. Fired about 15 rounds, got bored, packed up, told the range officer "I'm done!"

It was AWESOME.

Nashua Fish and Game (http://www.nfga.org/highpower/highpower.html) is beautiful and has matches all the time, in addition to Thursday morning practices (there are still a few left this season).

Other one I go to frequently is Reading:
