Hey guys. I’m looking to add a new precision gun. I’ve been running a 308 boot gun and recently repurposed my Barnes Precision 3 gun into a precision gun. Now I’m looking for a true long range semi auto, most likely in 6.5 creed. I’ve looked at the obvious, Seekins, but didn’t really know where else to look. I have thought about the 6.5 that Barnes Precison (BPM) produces. Has anyone ran one? Where else would you look? What would you keep in mind while looking for a semi auto precision gun? Not looking to suppress, for the timing being. Thanks I’m advance.

I’ve said it before and it again, check out Seekins Precision. They make great rifles. There’s a reason the GAP 10 is based on a Seekins. I’ve bought two rifles. I have the 6.5 SP-10 and I just bought a 3G2. I like the flat bottom rails and the fact that the use an extended upper. They don’t use the typical barrel nut configuration. Lowlight puts them in his favorite AR list too.

If you want real precision and reliability go with the JP. I can't stress enough to go with something designed to work as a system. Proper gas port length at +2, high pressure bolt, compensator, silent captured spring with a proper weight to it. All the little things make a huge difference as you reach out further.
