Hello. I would like some opinions regarding some "tactical" scopes, namely: Ior Valdada 3.5-18x50, Leupold Mark 4 10x40, Vortex Razor HD 5-20x50, and the SWFA SS 10x42. I just want some background info (and, like I said before, opinions) regarding these scopes and anything I should be wary of if I go for one. Thanks!

Huge range of scopes there. From fixed 10X around $300 (SWFA) to a 5-20 variable in the $2K range (Vortex Razor).
I guess knowing your budget and intended use would help in choice decision.

Out of those choices, the Razor/medium priced and the SWFA 10x/inexpensive.
Bushnells HDMR is a great riflescope for the money. Next down would be the SWFA 3-15

Determine what your needs are and your budget. I would also say that in the sales section for both SH members as well as vendors you can find some really great values. Once you make your decision I would seriously consider a barely used scope and save a ton of money. Given the choices you posted I would agree with Steve123 and his second point that there are a lot of good options besides the ones you list.
