Got to try some of the new Hornady 108 ELD 6mm Creedmoor today in my GAP10. Shown below is the first 5 shots out of the rifle. Not too bad. The first shot was the high left. It was a cold bore/cold shooter shot.

I also shot the loads at various distances and found that the rounds would hit slightly lower than my Berger 105 Hybrid loads. My shots at 700 yards were 1/2 mil low. Wish I could have tried 1000 yards, but the range was still snowed in.

I hope we can buy these bullets soon. Would like to try them in my own reloads.

Around $1.45 per round. I can reload cheaper, but its nice to see I can buy an accurate load if need be.

I'm quite happy with these as well. Very similar results out of a 700, I've only had it out to 600 but can easily hit a 4x6 piece of steel if I do my part. Some reports on Scout said it was a bit slow, haven't had a chance to measure but it's set up in my phone as 3000fps and the dope it spits out hits dead on!

Pretty sweet performance for factory ammo. Gather any ES/SD data?

Took out the 6 mm Creedmoor and shot the factory Hornady 108 ELD-M today. Results were excellent

6mm Creedmoor 108 ELD-M
2962
2953
2929
2956
2949
AVG 2949
SD 12
ES 33
Group size was .700-.243 = .457

I shot a couple more rounds over the magnetospeed, and they were consistent too (2946,2960). Except for that one round at 2929, SD would have been 6, which is insanely low for factory ammo. This is going to become my go-to ammo for the 6 mm till I can figure out how to reload the Nosler 105 RDF.

This was out of a 26" medium palma barrel, chambered by my local smith on a Tikka T3 action. Barrel has 1200 rounds on it, so its a little worn, but still shoots good.

I am getting average 2950 fps out of 24" barrel on a ruger precision rifle with the 108 match eld factory ammo 6 shot group one flyer barrel was hot pretty good group for a little cross wind and learning the rifle only shot this rifle about 4o times this was at 100 yards off tripod rest. I know I need to work on better trigger control and stuff but not bad for factory ammo for a amateur. I have been trying to work up a load I have tried some powder I have on hand which is rl19 but I cannot get the velocity I am looking for I have a few nice accurate loads around 2700 fps but. I'd like to be up around 2900 anyway no h4350 imr 4350 to be found thought about ordering imr 4451 anyone tried this in 6mm creedmoor with good results?

This is a 2.4" group at 425 yards (0.56 MOA)

108 ELD's seated at 2.800" OAL
Hornady Brass
41.5 gr H100V
26" with 1 in 8" - 6 Creed

No chrono yet unfortunately, but in my experience, H100V is definitely worth a try for those of you looking to replace 4350

Just as an update..

i had bought a few boxes when the 108 first came out and was getting only in the low 2700s i believe with 2 rifles with 24" barrels. Just bought a few more to test a rifle and velocity is 2970 in a 22" barrel.

not sure if I got a hot lot or if they dropped some more kernels in the case but its a much more acceptable fps.

I bought 3 boxes of this because I was short on time, ended up shooting one box. I chrono'd 3, zeroed and got out to 1K on 10" plate. In my 26" barrel, the 3 shot average was 3040fps(I know, not enough), to 600, spot on using a kestrel, by 700 it was low, 800 .3 low, 900 .4, and half mil at1K. It was easy to get a handle on the drops, but I will stick to hybrids, 110 sierra's, or dtacs.
