First time shooting out to 200 yards

Got a chance to shoot my AR-15 out to 200 yards for the first time this weekend.

Spent most of my time coaching my seven year old it was his first trip to the range. He shot my SW 15-22 and he had a blast.

When not with him, I was comparing Black HIlls 77gr Red box vs Atlanta Arms 77gr. My rifle liked the the Atlanta Arms much better while the Black Hills seemed to go all over the place. Granted it was quite windy out.

Before leaving I fired five three round groups and this is what I got.
* I also had to shoot on the bench due to the ranges layout. I normally shoot prone and the bench felt a bit weird at first.

That's great that your little one had a blast shooting! Keep up the good work, and post more about those fun range reports!

Thanks, he's showing his target to everyone who'll take a look.

It's great he's taken interest in something else we can do together. Wife's says he's a mini version of me already and it just got worse.

He carried the rifle to and from the range and then cleaned it when we got home. Great times.
