This is my first try at making anything like this, its not quite done and does not cover all of the rifle yet, the piece of netting im using is pretty large i may have to trim around the back, or just use it for other things lol.

pretty much what i did was tie camo strips of burlap in the netting shorter up top and longer as i worked lower on the netting, let me know if im on the right track or what, the leaves were just for kicks

Re: First Try at making a bushrag

on the right track, but all that extra netting make interfere with the optic, rechambering (if need be), etc.

try a length of hemp rope, loosen the braiding, then stick the burlap and any jute you have between the strands, like tying a fly. then twist and knot here and there.

you can then snake it around and avoid the areas you may have to manipulate later. plus it's easier to adjust, remove and put on

Re: First Try at making a bushrag

looks like it's on a good track. Couple things to remember.

1) no one is going to see the parts that your body covers like the stock

2) try using/buying bundles of silk artificial leaves and craft grass instead of the camo burlap. they look more natural, they dont wear out, they can be re-painted for the seasons if necessary.
