Fix M Lok Handguard

After following a few threads here, I picked up a Fix 308, and I was wondering if there are any downsides to switching out the handguard to the Mlok version. I already have a lot of M lok gear and don’t want to start using another attachment interface if I dont’ need to.

Unless you call not being able to use Q brand accessories (sling swivel, bipod attachment, etc) a disadvantage, no. If I were going to hang a bunch of shit on mine I may switch it out to make it more compatible with the AR stuff I have laying around, but I'm not really planning on doing that so I'll put the $275 elsewhere.

Thanks for the input. I'm not really worried about hanging stuff on it (other than a bipod). But I was/am interested in shortening the hand guard to match a shorter barrel. What I didn't realize was that extra barrels aren't available.
