I have a set of scope rings, i think they are weavers. they were cheapys and didn't expect a lot out of them. well, while tightening the one screw, the threads IN the ring let go. either they weren't cut well or i just reefed on them too much
i know the rings arn't worth much and i shouldn't worry about them but i figured they are pretty solid (think they are steel) and would like to use them on one of my guns.
any ideas on how to fix the threads inside the rings?
i can feel the screw starting to grab then lets go and goes around for another rotation and starts to grab again
any ideas on how to tighten up the threads?
like i said i know its nothing to spend 20 hours on but i figured if there was a cheap and easy fix i wouldn't have to toss a pair of 40 dollar rings away.
