First time sizing brass and I noticed a shiny ring right on the shoulder edge after sizing. Just want to make sure this is normal.

A ring just forward of the case head can be a sign of brass stretching and could indicate danger of head separation, but I don't believe that the ring you indicate is anything to be worried about.

Normal, that’s where it’s getting sized. Write down the neck, shoulder, base diameters for your records and see how much actual work is being done to the brass and how it changes over time.
