I have some new Remington brass. Necks are fugly. All need deburing inside and out at the mouth. Definitely not round also.
I stuck a bullet tip in one and then touched it up with my hand held de burring tool. Massive improvement.
I have not loaded one yet. Should I go with this or go farther. I have never neck turned brass and with Lapua and Winchester brass do not feel it was necessary with them.

Any more with new Rem, I have an expander mandrel, run it through it, then trim with 3 way cutter to remove all the crap at the mouth, then vld chamfer, uniform the primer pocket, then re-neck size before loading. Pain in the ass, no doubt, but those case mouths will lose debris and gall a guys die.

Yes, it will work, just make sure you don't bump the shoulder till you fire them.

I went thru a batch of 100 Winchester .284 brass last month, and 1/3 of them were longer than my Match Chamber. Had to bump all of them .015". Measure all your new brass, or at LEAST try to chamber them, before you figure out what case prep you need to do before priming and charging.

I am going to FL size all this brass. It makes me feel better too.
It is Fugly.
I pushed the chamber another .0015 - .002 and the brass will not chamber. I was at [near] the tight side of the go guage .
Set the brass back .003 and slips right in. I will have fairly nice brass without too much sweat and it needed attention any way.
Got a dummy made now 280, 175 SMK, 3.410 chamber w/ zero jump. I'll make it 3.385 for starters.
Recoil management class starts soon.
