i am getting ready to start reloading some 6.5/284 rounds. i have a neck size die and seating die. now my question, i will be useing new nosler brass, will i need to buy a full lenght sizer for the first sizing?

If the brass chambers, then your good to go.
I found that after 3 firings I had to set the shoulder back and resize the brass by the web area.
The brass became hard to extract at the last little bit of bolt lift. I got a Redding shoulder bump die. I run the brass through it when it gets sticky.

you don't need to FL size new brass. The only thing I would do is make sure the necks are not dented and are actually round.
I use Lapua. I chamfer inside and out and fire them.
