Kinda goes to the age old question why does one park in a driveway and drive on a parkway. Here is my question:
The isssue m16 i believe has a flash suppressor. That said the 16 is basically a general issue weapon used either from cover or if necessary in the open. On the other hand sniper rifles which i believe were designed around clandestine type deployments have no such suppressor. Addiotnally i have never even seen a picture of a sniper weapon (i am referring to the real thing i.e. issued to troops - not home built jobs used on firing ranges) that are even threaded for a silencer.
Can someone explain eitehr why or what i am missing.
